The Importance of Width:

Finding the right fit of running shoes is essential. While most runners may focus on length and cushioning, often width is forgotten. If you’ve ever experienced pinching toes, uncomfortable rubbing on the sides of your shoe or even instability on your run, chances are your shoes are not the right width for your feet. Lucky for you, Brooks Running provides a wide range of widths across our range, making you runs seamlesss and more enjoyable. Let’s break it down!

Our Width Options:

Medium: also known as the “standard” width, where if you’ve never been questioned which width is right for you, you’ve probably been wearing medium width shoes.

Narrow: usually have a snugger fit in comparison to a medium-width shoe, with less upper-material.

Wide: provides a roomier fit compared to a narrow or medium shoe, having move upper-material.

Extra-wide: out of all different widths, will provide the greatest amount of room, ultimately having a wider footbed and more upper-material.

Women's Vs Men's Widths:

Men’s B D 2E 4E

The table above shows the various width options which Brooks Running has to offer in both women’s and men’s sizing. It is important to note that not all our shoes will have all widths available. When converting men’s and women’s sizing, we suggest referring to width naming as opposed to the lettering – when converting men’s to women’s this conversion required add 1.5 sizes and then subtracting 1.5 sizes when converting women’s to men’s.
